After staying 3 nights in Bangalore, I boarded on a bus to go to Hampi,Karnataka (Southern India). Hampi is located on the banks of Tungabhadra River in the Eastern part of Central Karnataka near the state border with Andhra Pradesh . Hampi is a very beautiful UNESCO world heritage site. It became the centre of the Hindu Vijayanagar Empire capital in the 14th century. Hampi have numerous Hindu temples and monuments which was built in the 14th century.

I explore Hampi in 3 days. Hampi is also one of the most visited site for tourism. Tourist from around the world come to Hampi. Hampi is a true divine place and most of the restaurants in Hampi serves only vegetable cuisines and hardly get non vegetable foods. Natives of Hampi are well manner and they welcome tourists at their best level.

Hampi is famous for Vitthala Temple complex and it is the most well known among the ruins of Hampi. The iconic stone chariot in the vicinity of this temple complex is a symbol of Karnataka State Tourism and recently ,the image of stone chariot is printed on the new 50 INR note. The temple houses, the famous musical pillars.
The Virupaksha Temple also called the ‘Pampavathi Temple’ located in Hampi Bazaar is one of the earliest monuments of Hampi even preceding the foundation of the Vijayanagara Empire. Originally a small shrine, it was later developed into an imposing and rich temple during the Vijayanagara Empire.
Some of the most prominent and beautiful tourism sites in Hampi are the Virupaksa temple, Vitthala temple complex, Stepped well, Shiva Linga Temple, Elephant stable, Sasivekalu Ganesh Temple, Krishna temple and market, Narasimha temple , Achyuteraya temple and market complex, Hazara Rama Temple, Hemakuta Hill Monuments, Pattabhirama Temple, Jain monuments, Lotus Mahal, Mahanavami platform and publicsquare complex. After seeing those tourist sites, I feel proud of my beautiful country India. India have rich cultures, traditions and have huge diversity.
